I think SalesforceIQ is substantially better than Salesforce in terms of manual import. I did more research than normal into CRMs, and I've been happy with them so far. The reminders could be a little more intuitive on following up with people, though. It's also irritating that you need to keep it open all day. Even with the plug-in, you need the main client open.
We've been happy with Slack. I like the basic simplicity of the integration with all of our other tools, which makes it much more malleable in terms of opening it up and logging in every day-- everything is in one spot. The log-in process is a bit annoying, but that's my only complaint.
