About The Talk
Join us on July 30th as we chat with Zach Dixon, Co-founder & COO of Players’ Lounge, a platform where gamers can play their favorite video games against others for prizes.
Zach founded the company with his co-founder Austin Woolridge in the fall of 2014, and since then they’ve grown substantially. They have raised over $3 million in funding, from investors including Drake, Marissa Mayer, and Comcast Ventures and are a Y Combinator alum.
We’re excited to chat with Zach about how he’s grown Players’ Lounge from a local, tristate community, to a company with players across the country earning millions of dollars in prizes every month. We’ll discuss challenges and opportunities in the space, their experience applying to YC, and more.

Zach Dixon likes video games, startups, sales, learning languages and talking candidly about mental health/addiction issues.
His grandfather, Dave Dixon, was a Louisiana sports entrepreneur who helped create the New Orleans Saints, Louisiana Superdome and USFL. He loved football and he made a living out of it. Zach loves video games and is on track to do the same with Players’ Lounge.
