We’ve built our own inhouse data warehouses that allow us to aggregate data and share them across multiple services.
Our data analytics team led the implementation of Salesforce. Then we had people on our team take the Salesforce certification to build that competency in house. Before Salesforce, we had just been using Google Docs to track customers.
We use Salesforce Service Cloud for customer service emails, and it also records all customer service communications, including chats, emails, text, phone calls, etc.
We had been using Bronto, which is specifically for e-commerce email marketing, but now we’re switching to Salesforce Marketing Cloud. Salesforce is our CRM tool of choice, so it's a really good integration. Our end goal is to create long-term relationships with our customers, so we want to market to them, keep records of them, and collect their feedback all on one platform, which will help us deliver awesome service in the future. This is also why we use Salesforce Service Cloud for customer support.
We’re using QuickBooks Enterprise, and are planning to switch over to a more sophisticated system. It’s the desktop version (enterprise doesn't have a good online configuration), so we installed it on a server that we can all access.
We've been using them since before we even launched, and they help us with everything HR/payroll-related.
Greenhouse is awesome--it completely changed the way we thought of recruiting. We went from providing all general feedback on a candidate to very concrete scorecarding. This really levels the playing for people interviewing with us. They know they won’t just have to answer the same questions with every interviewer, it’s a much more thoughtful interview process, and they receive a much more timely response. We realized we needed more recruiting firepower to attract top-tier candidates, so we brought on a head of talent and that’s when we started using Greenhouse. Before then recruiting had been owned by the founders, but it’s hard to prioritize when it’s not someone’s full-time job. We realized we needed to take recruiting more seriously and make the process a great experience for our candidates. Greenhouse has helped us do that.
We use Trello for most project-related information, from legal to design to tech/engineering.
