I’m not happy at all with Google Analytics.
We just installed Heap. I like Heap, but I still have Google Analytics. You can really easily understand Heap’s UI. The data is much easier to understand when it comes to what is happening in terms of visitors and traffic. It’s really nice that you don’t have to create all events upfront. Once you have Heap, you can tag events and go back and see all that data attached to that event. You get to see retroactive analytics. Everyday is of use. Heap is a much simpler way to read those kind of metrics.
Segment’s amazing. I don’t know what we would do without Segment. I have Segment for our marketing site and for our product.
Stripe is super, super easy. It’s very developer friendly and certain things it does so well. Some stuff on the consumer user side could be better. We didn’t have to build a UI for credit card processing. They handle all of it, and it’s mobile friendly. Credit card processing is one of the easier things that we did.
Intercom is pretty good--it does the job well. Intercom is how we manage customer interactions, and is for customer support management.
On the website, we have a similar product called Drift. It’s geared much more to sales. That’s why it’s on our marketing site.
PersistIQ is awesome. It’s really easy to upload a list. Everything is synced right when people subscribe. You can see all the percentages you need. It’s a really useful tool for email marketing.
For our marketing site, we use Webflow. You’re basically able to build an entire site, host it, do any kind of integration, build out a blog, build out a resource section. It’s one of best products I’ve ever come across. That’s how we host our marketing, blog, and resources. Every startup should be using it for their marketing site.
All the design, print, UI and UX work is done in Sketch. It is the most valuable design tool I’ve ever come across. Sketch is pretty amazing.
Sendwithus is what we built our email stack on. The things we’re able to do with Sendwithus are amazing. We’re given the ability for our customers to run their own email campaigns, and we do that with Sendwithus. It’s really difficult to do that well, but Sendwithus does it super easily.
We do Mixmax for email productivity automation.
Cloudinary is where we host video and images. We allow our customers to upload collateral material and any videos. Cloudinary makes it super easy to manage images that scale. From a product perspective, it’s also invaluable.
We mainly use Pivotal Tracker. That’s more for product management, which it works great for, but it’s not really project management.
I don’t love Trello. Project management tools are just not that great. They don’t stick.
I use Quip for a lot of things. Quip is awesome and is one of the best products I’ve come across. They set the bar really high.
