Segment is great. We use it to collate our data. It was very easy to get started, and we’ve been gradually getting more tools to get data via Segment.
We use Pipedrive! It breaks down the sales pipeline in a visual way, and tells you exactly where a lead or deal is in the sales funnel, and what you need to do to move it forward. There are many uses for Pipedrive outside of traditional sales as well. We use it to manage our media outreach, not just our customers. And when we raised funding, we used it to manage our fundraising pipeline.
Zoom is great for conference calls. We have offices in Estonia and the U.S., and we’ve found that Zoom is much smoother than Skype or Google Hangouts for conference calls. And for context: there are more than 10 members of Skype alumni on our team, including yours truly.
We’re big fans of Slack! We’ve connected various tools to it, and have channels for everything from Trello to GitHub to our internal KPIs. And of course, we’re big fans of the GIPHY integration!
We use MailChimp for newsletters. The interface is simple, and it keeps getting better and better.
We use Vero for triggered emails, based on user actions and events. We like that we can tailor the emails based on what users have done or haven’t done, and the Vero team has been great at listening to, and accommodating, our feedback.
We use different tools for different openings and locations. For example, we use something different to find a developer in Estonia than we do to find a marketer in the U.S. Our biggest recruiting “channel” is definitely internal recommendations from people already at Pipedrive.
On the engineering side we use JIRA. It’s good at what it does.
The marketing team uses Trello. It is very similar to Pipedrive in that it breaks down your processes into succinct stages that are easy to drag and drop from one stage to the next. Trello is good for lightweight, simpler projects, and we’re big fans.
