The CRM market is funny because data can be so easily switched over to another CRM. I like Airtable and Highrise but Base had a free trial and that was a good cost. We’re going to have to upgrade and decide what we want to use in the long term.

We use Base on the real estate side. We have a limited number of relationships on that side, so we needed a tool that was more lightweight and flexible. We have been using it for over a year; it has a good UI and easy reporting. It is a convenient out of the box solution.

The Base CRM pricing model is difficult to understand in the beginning; you have to look through the app itself to understand which features are unlocked on which pricing tier. We tested several CRMs but this one was the only one that had all the built-in features we needed and we did not have to install any extensions or develop plugins. It is not hard to change steps in the customer journey. It also allows us to assign contracts to different team members. The dashboard has a really useful overview that tells us how much money we have on outstanding leads. As our sales funnel is somewhat more complex than in a usual B2B startup, adaptability was an important issue for us. The one thing we would wish for is for direct integration possibilities with Trello.

We used BaseCRM over two years ago but it was too lightweight. I wouldn’t say Salesforce is great.

I really like Base! We didn’t need a CRM before we built our back-end system for delivery orders. But since we are also doing wholesale orders right now, it makes sense for our sales team to use a CRM. We just finished the integration with our backend so things push together very well and are in sync. One thing I would like to have is webhooks, so when actions happen, it automatically communicates with our back end.

Base CRM is a really great value for its price.

We’ve been really happy with Base. It was simple to set up, and is a great out-of-the-box solution. It’s also intuitive, and has a nice UI. We’ve had some issues with latency, but they seem to be working through it, and keep improving their product. I spent the last 10 years using Salesforce, and it’s so complicated, you have to hire an outside firm to set it up! You don’t need any outside help to get Base up and running.

We’re using Base CRM until I can develop the full stack for our own custom CRM. Our main problem is that all of the tools available now don’t communicate well with each other, so you have to get a third party dashboard just to keep track of everything. We’re creating something in the middle.

I don’t personally use Base, but I know our sales team uses it as their sales headquarters. Leads come in, and they can track and discuss them as a team.

We use Base, and it’s good for sales. It’s quick and cheap, but one downside is that it’s not as good for customer success after the sale. We’re moving to Salesforce next week, so we’ll see how that compares to Base.

We recently switched from Insightly to Base. We wanted to switch for 2 main reasons. The first reason is that their integrations and API are strong, stable, and mature. We wanted something that would integrate with our product, and with Base, we can push directly from our product to Base. The second reason is that their interface for managing pipelines is clean and strong, which we like.

Base has had a wonderful user experience, great design and functionality. We've been happy with it. It’s much less clunky than Salesforce.

They're pretty good. They're not as flexible as we would want them to be, as far as reporting goes, and they don't handle account management very well. The software is designed for managing the pipeline and closing the sale, but their post-sales tracking isn't great. I actually have yet to find a CRM platform that's really focused on sales support and account management.

We're happy with Base for now relative to Salesforce. And it’s 1/5th of the price of Salesforce to boot.
