Campfire reviews from startup founders

March 30, 2016

We started a few years ago with Campfire, and then we moved to HipChat, which we had to pay for. But we liked HipChat so we were fine paying. Then Slack came out in 2014. It was free so we tried it out. We were early adopters of Slack, but we were planning on sticking with HipChat. But then it was like HipChat got scared of Slack, and then moved to being free. After HipChat went free--the service quality plummeted. It was slow, messages and connections would drop constantly. Over two weeks we lost all confidence in HipChat. So we moved to Slack, and it worked--which is probably the most important feature for a team communication tool.
