We evaluated many of options including Zoo, Sugar etc., but we finally chose with Capsule. It is pretty straightforward for the simple needs that we have. It integrates well with Gmail and Zendesk.

We used to use Salesforce which we struggled with. For us, it was overly complicated. We needed something simple and easy to use to handle contacts. Capsule fits the bill really well. They have a really good mobile app, so if you’re out in the field you can get contact information really easily.

I looked at 10 different tools. I found most of them, like Salesforce, to be too large and cumbersome. Pipedrive seemed pretty good; Zoho was kind of terrible. We settled on Capsule CRM, because it is very easy; it integrates with Gmail very well. We only have a few users so cost is not a huge factor yet for us. What is important is that it has to be lightweight.

We use Capsule CRM to do a lot of our CRM work, but we’re also at the point where we’re building our own. Capsule is more for when people are out in the field, and it has a nice integration with email. Also, it’s really cheap!

We use Capsule to manage our pipeline. It is one of those products that fits nicely with early stage companies. They’ve been around for a while and the founders are friends of mine. Part of our product offering includes a Capsule app, which allows our customers to see their Capsule sales pipeline and lists, such as portfolios, as a single customer view in UnifiedVU.

I picked Capsule because it isn’t overloaded with features. Everyone gravitates toward Salesforce, but we're service-based so we don't deal with a large volume of leads. Salesforce seems like overkill. I like that Capsule is clean, simple and exports to FreshBooks. My employees can also see if there's an outstanding invoice in FreshBooks through Capsule, without needing access to Freshbooks.
