We are using MailChimp but I don’t love them. I prefer Constant Contact, but the team member that is responsible for this knew MailChimp better. MailChimp customer service sucks, while if you ask Constant Contact how to bake a cookie they will try to walk you through it.

I dislike Constant Contact. It’s not easily customizable.

We use Constant Contact to create and distribute our Funding Report digital newsletter, which reaches 33,000 customers and stakeholders each week. Digital outreach has been an important part of our growth marketing strategy since we launched. We are very pleased with Constant Contact; it has exceptional templates and ensures that we are in full compliance with North American spam laws.

We used to use Constant Contact and MailChimp. Now we use ExpressPigeon and they’re the best for email marketing. They have the best customer service. Constant Contact had good customer service, but we grew too big for them. ExpressPigeon can handle the amount of emails we send out and is cheaper than MailChimp. MailChimp also has horrible customer service, and was around $50 more than ExpressPigeon.

Constant Contact is amazing for nonprofits.

We use Constant Contact because we’ve partnered and integrated with them. But we actually don’t do a ton of email marketing. Constant Contact is geared more for our audience of smaller businesses, and they target single business owners. Constant Contact admits that small businesses grow out of them eventually.

We chose them because they have always been very reliable, and they’ve been around for a long time. They have also done a good job evolving and changing with the industry. We chose them over MailChimp because it is easy to use, we saw them first and we got accustomed to what they were doing--long before we ever saw MailChimp.

When we first started, we used Constant Contact. Their design tools were pretty antiquated, even then, and they didn’t ensure email deliverability.
