We love Greenhouse. It is a relatively robust tool and it makes it really easy for us to publish postings on Indeed and Glassdoor. It’s really simple to get inbound through Greenhouse and get people through the pipeline.
Co-founder & Chief Product Officer - Clark
We get the candidates through the Career page on our website. Our internal recruiter sifts through the applications and we manage the interview process with Greenhouse.
Marketing Director - Clarifai
Right now we are not actively seeking, but we used Greenhouse when we had to hire several people at once. It was easy to keep track of everything. It is a little expensive though.
SVP of Engineering - Lola Travel
We have used Greenhouse. It’s good--it does the job of tracking your applicants.
Founder & CEO - Current
Greenhouse is a very powerful tool that handles the recruitment process.
Co-founder & COO - Andela
Greenhouse is a great applicant tracking system. Sometimes it can get complicated in who gets access to what. It works well for engaging with candidates and has good reporting.
CTO - Optoro
Greenhouse has very good reporting and tracking features. But the user interface is not super intuitive.
Co-founder & CEO - Periscope
We used Greenhouse for a little bit and they were pretty good.
Founder & CEO - Sproutling
It meets the bare minimum that we need. The UI is really poor. There are a lot of problems with it. The support team doesn't really help. This would be really easy to switch if I found a better tool.
Co-founder & CEO - Lob
From applications, interview stage tracking, to report cards, Greenhouse has everything that we need for interviewing and review candidates as they apply. Our team did not need to build an interview process.
Co-founder & CEO - Opternative
Our ATS is Greenhouse. There are some mixed reviews with it: some people like it, some people don’t.
CTO - Expa
Greenhouse is pretty good. There are still lots of features and reporting that they need to build out, and it’s still a little buggy. But overall, we believe it is the best ATS.
Co-founder & COO - Branch Metrics
Greenhouse has a clunky user experience, and needs a better integration with HR tools. When someone is already hired, it should allow a company to continue to build a profile for that individual, within Greenhouse.
Founder & CEO - Wizeline
Greenhouse has been great! It makes it really easy for hiring managers to look at analytics and which parts of our processes are working or not working. Greenhouse has been a big advancement for hiring talent, for sure.
VP Marketing - Extole
Greenhouse is our ATS.
Co-founder & CEO - Bold
Greenhouse is our ATS.
Co-founder & CTO - URX
Greenhouse is the system of record for us. We’re big fans of Greenhouse. It was super easy to adopt and get started using it.
Founder & CEO - Justworks
We use Greenhouse, and it’s good. They’re also a client of ours. I haven’t compared recruiting tools in a long time, but Greenhouse has done a good job. It’s very clean, easy to use and the system doesn’t go down. It just works. We have an outside recruiter that manages and uses the system mostly, and I use it to look at reporting and scorecarding of entries.
Founder & CEO - Venwise
I’m not involved with recruiting, but the recruiting team seems to like using Greenhouse.
Head of Finance - Dots
We then use Greenhouse.io for our applicant tracking system.
Senior VP Communications & Marketing - Karmic Labs
Greenhouse was fantastic. The team absolutely glowed about it, and the level of detail and process was impressive.
Co-founder - Aviary
Greenhouse is a very strong platform. It offers great collaboration, and has a really helpful built-in structure and process. With Greenhouse, everyone on our team knows what they’re supposed to do, and it has allowed us to standardize and accelerate our interview process, whereas before it was very ad hoc.
Co-founder & President - Work Market
Greenhouse is awesome--it completely changed the way we thought of recruiting. We went from providing all general feedback on a candidate to very concrete scorecarding. This really levels the playing for people interviewing with us. They know they won’t just have to answer the same questions with every interviewer, it’s a much more thoughtful interview process, and they receive a much more timely response. We realized we needed more recruiting firepower to attract top-tier candidates, so we brought on a head of talent and that’s when we started using Greenhouse. Before then recruiting had been owned by the founders, but it’s hard to prioritize when it’s not someone’s full-time job. We realized we needed to take recruiting more seriously and make the process a great experience for our candidates. Greenhouse has helped us do that.
Co-founder & COO - Casper
We use Greenhouse to manage our recruiting process--from interviews to prospect management. I give Greenhouse high marks--it's been really good at integrating with calendars, and it does what you want it to. It provides the ability for everyone to submit a scorecard, and we like the ability to create admin privileges around who sees what.
Co-founder & COO - Betterment
We've been using them for a few months now. We needed more structure around the interview process, and Greenhouse has that. We initially just needed a place to put leads, but we eventually started to need more and wanted to work toward a consistent, high-end recruiting process.
Co-founder & CEO - Segment
We have a recruiter as well, but we needed a way of applying feedback and pipelining it all together. Greenhouse fills that need. We just needed the data, so we didn't take too much care in selecting a product.
Co-founder - Keen IO
Greenhouse is awesome. Once you have a regular hiring process, having something like Greenhouse is great, and it's important to have a hiring process in place--that can get messy fast.
Co-founder & VP of Operations - Voxy
6%Stacklist Startups Are Using Greenhouse
Greenhouse is used by companies of all sizes, though Greenhouse CEO Daniel Chait notes that the need for a recruiting solution isn’t immediate for most startups, and generally doesn’t kick in until you start hiring regularly and you start to feel “pain around recruiting.” What does this mean, exactly? Chait explains, “You feel that you have to make decisions about who to hire, and you don’t have confidence in your questions, don’t know how to rate candidates, and different people have different opinions. You may also start to feel as though you don’t have enough candidates and you don’t know how to get more.
