When I Work is awesome for scheduling people. We have full-time staff, but also have 30 people who work part-time and on contract that lead tours. When cancellations happen (though rarely, they do happen), When I Work allows us to notify our employees right away. And when we have special events, we can quickly see who is available to work. It has been absolutely critical to keeping people where they need to be, at the right time.

When I Work is a great scheduling solution for employees at our coffee shops and events. All of our employees can easily see their schedules, and do things like request vacation days, straight from their phones. And all of our managers can approve or deny these requests from their phones. We used to do all of this in Google Sheets, and it worked for a short time, but then became a nightmare. Apparently When I Work offers time tracking functionality too, although we haven’t explored this yet and don’t see a need to since we are happy with TimeStation.
